Indigenous Birth Justice

Experiences and outcomes during pregnancy, labor, birth, parenting, puberty, and menopause can be dramatically different for different people, especially for members of historically under-resourced and marginalized communities.

Indigenous Birth Justice is an indigenous-led movement that seeks to recognize inequalities and to empower people in our communities during pregnancy, birth, parenting, Coming of Age, and menopause. We see the need to improve the quality of care and outcomes for Indigenous people through health care systems, community care, and cultural connection.
